Arieann Harrison

Founder + Executive Director

Founder and Executive Director of Marie Harrison Community Foundation, Inc. Arieann Harrison is a resident of San Francisco District 10 and has lived and worked in the Bayview Community for 30+ years.

Her work includes providing social services, employment opportunities, community resources, and engaging in environmental advocacy with local D10 residents, taking an all-inclusive, solutions-based approach to providing good information for the best outcome that will lead to preservation of life. #CanWeLive has become the rallying cry of a community that has gone long overlooked when it comes to social, environmental, and economic justice.

We are here to support our community in finding a path forward within systems that do not see these challenges in communities of color as a human rights issue. We have strong community ties, allies, and partnerships from various walks of life who are passionate about uplifting and fighting for something bigger than themselves – with the knowledge that it will take all of us to push for change.

If you want to know how you can help? You got greatness in you because God put it there, so go out and change the world.

Alison LaBonte

Alison LaBonte supports communities in California to access clean and affordable energy improvements. After 15 years in government service Alison recently launched her business, A la bonte advisors (Alba), which offers technical assistance to communities to carry out the solutions prioritized by the community. Alison is an oceanographer, turned government service member, turned entrepreneur for communities. She is drawn to uncertainty and reform, embracing change to stay at the leading edge.

While at the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), Alison was a supervisor responsible for utilities’ energy efficiency portfolios and budget, and utilities’ weatherization and energy bill assistance programs for low-income customers. Embracing the CPUC’s Environmental and Social Justice action plan, Alison’s team worked to be first out of the gates in breaking from status quo government processes to develop new inclusive processes for end-users with lived experience to inform the design and implementation of energy efficiency equity programs.

During the Obama administration, Alison served in the federal government as a Program Manager at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), where she launched first-of-kind initiatives to accelerate nascent renewable technologies such as wave energy capture. She is excited to now be applying her government experience to serve California communities of concern to co-design and deliver energy solutions locally.
